We felt with the ever changing situation with Coronavirus we should send you an update on our current position regarding our delivery of training.
Coronavirus is having a significant impact on all our lives and is causing a lot of uncertainty. We understand that as work continues in businesses up and down the country, it is important that vital health, safety & equipment training is available for the workforce going forward.
To this end we at Chelmsford and West Essex Training Group will continue to deliver both inhouse and bespoke training for as long as possible to those wishing to attend courses.
We are doing our upmost to ensure our venues are controlled and cleaned. Delegate numbers per classroom are being capped to ensure each delegate can distance themselves. All unnecessary contact and grouping of delegates is being reduced. We are providing information on hygienic measures in line with government guidelines. If you have certification that is expiring and you need to book a refresher course but are reluctant given the current circumstances please give us a call as some awarding bodies have introduced longer grace periods to help ease worries. For the latest information please visit the governmentshelp site.

We have also introduced a self certification system where by
delegates are asked to sign a declaration as to their being fit to attend
training at the start of each course day and would remind you of the
following when you should not attend a course;
You or any delegate attending training, has returned from abroad in the last 14
days OR had contact with a confirmed case of
Coronavirus & are experiencing cough/fever/shortness of breath:You should
STAY INDOORS & call NHS 111, even if symptoms are mild.
We will also be asking instructors and staff to self certificate,
should any of the above apply to them, and then place themselves in isolation.
This may mean we cancel courses at very short notice, so hope you will be
understanding should this happen. Courses will then be organised as and when it
is appropriate.
If the situation in the UK deteriorates, we will take appropriate action and
cancel courses as and where necessary.
As a reminder, everyone can help prevent the spread of infectious diseases, and public health professionals recommend that we:
- wash our hands often with soap and water; if that is not possible, use hand sanitizer
- cover our mouth and nose with our sleeve or a tissue when we sneeze or cough
- avoid close contact (touching or shaking hands) with people who are sick
- avoid touching our mouth, nose, and eyes
- stay home when we are sick
As the health and safety of our customers is our highest priority, we will be taking additional steps where ever applicable.
